Brianna and Chris Wed!

I had the fortune of being able to assist with a wedding earlier this June, with the very talented Ashley Marana of Custom Obscura Photography. I brought my camera along, "just in case," and of course ended up doing some shooting. I'm so happy I did, because what a stunning couple Bri and Chris make! They were both radiantly happy, so sweet, and so obviously in love with each other. They, their family and their friends were a pleasure to be around, and I feel privileged to have been able to capture part of their day!

Jamie + JJ: Engaged

Jamie and JJ took a chance on November weather to do an engagement shoot, and we all lucked out with gorgeous weather! We shot all around downtown Stillwater, and had a great time! This pair is such an energetic, fun-loving couple, and so obviously in love with each other, that it was a great pleasure to shoot for them.

Natalie & Jordan: Expecting

Back in early November, I had the pleasure of photographing a maternity session for my good friends Natalie and Jordan. She was about 6 1/2 months along, and positively glowing. This shoot was so much fun, because their excitement was tangible - I'm pretty sure that there was actual electricity crackling in the air at one point :). They're going to make the best parents.

Slacker!

I have no excuses for my blog delinquency...but I'm back! I'm hoping I redeem myself by blogging regularly...or at least semi-regularly :). I've been shooting a lot of portraits lately, and I love it!

Katie, Mark, and little Brianna

I had the pleasure of photographing Katie, Mark, and their beautiful 8-month-old daughter Brianna. I knew Mark way back when I still cuffed my jeans (yikes, I know), and have gotten to catch up with him here and there over the years. Katie and I met about a year ago, and she struck me as sweet and funny as well as simply stunning! The two of them together with Brianna are an absolutely adorable family, and their love for their daughter was evident in every moment I spent with them.

Jessica and Nadeen: Climbers!

My close friend Jessica and her daughter Nadeen have a really fun hobby: they like to climb things. They do most of their climbing at the gym (where it’s warm and there are preset handholds and routes and all that good stuff), but when they can, they like to get outside and scale tall rocks in a single bound! Ok, maybe not. But they do climb them.

I was fortunate to be able to join them on one such trip to Taylors Falls. It was a beautiful day to be strapped to the top of a very tall rock (a cliff, even?), praying my homemade harness would hold as I snapped photos from above. In all seriousness, it was a fun day and I had a great time photographing Jessica and Nadeen as they did their thing!

Antoine and Josiah!

At the end of September, I had the privilege of photographing two of my favorite little boys, Antoine and Josiah. Antoine has always been my little buddy; I’ve watched him grow from a tiny little thing into a sweet, energetic, fun-loving boy of almost five years of age! I am now trilled to be able to do the same with his 6 month old brother Josiah…I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these two!
